Join us for an informal discussion with Dr. Kathryn Richdale to learn her strategies for communicating to young children and their parents about the need for myopia management and the different treatment options available, in particular Ortho-K. In this FB Live event, we will explore general information about each of the various treatments, and how to choose the best treatment for each patient based on the amount of myopia and astigmatism.

- With an ever-growing range of myopia management treatment options available, you must consider benefits, risks, costs, and potential outcomes to establish trust with patients and their parents.
- Why written materials are extremely helpful, even more so now, when care decisions are often made by both parents or a larger family unit, but only one parent is allowed in the exam room.
- Once an initial treatment plan has been made, parents should be asked to sign a treatment agreement documenting the discussion about treatments and expected risks and benefits.
